The Chinese area situated under the roller coaster Dæmonen needed a lift. The task was to give the area more eastern magic and a Tivoli mood. Torden & Lynild made a fundamental analysis of challenges and opportunities and took on the full enterprise with design and creation of new façades, signs, props and more. As part of the task, a new colour scheme was also made for the area, which now appears more fairy-tale like and with a greater attention to detail.

Behind the scenes
Among other things, new roofs and façades were built for the existing house structures to give them a greater attention to detail. Here, a newly constructed roof is brought in by crane from Tiegtensgade.
Painting the lovely motifs designed for the task by Thomas Winkler. Everything was made to be kept outside all year in the Tivoli garden.
The somewhat sad Chinese Area was completely transformed with new façades, roofs, flags, props and hand-painted signs.
