This prospectus was developed for Aabenraa municipality and Museum Sønderjylland, as part of realizing the plan of a new, large, and modern museum at the harbor of Aabenraa. The goal of the prospectus is to unfold the vision of the new museum and to support the fundraising process. Torden & Lynild was managing the entire process of vision development in close collaboration with the municipality and the museum.

The museum will be built on “Kilen” at the end of Nyhavn in Aabenraa. The very same harbor which in the 18th century was the home of transatlantic ships carrying goods and experience back to the kingdom. These stories will be one of the themes of the new museum. The other main theme is about the artists of Southern Jutland, where some of the most recognizable names are C.W. Eckersberg and Franciska Clausen. The stories about the seafarers and the artists, about the city's foreign connections conveyed in the exhibitions, the art experiences, the café and children´s art school will come together in the same museum, which will become a new iconic meeting place for the city.

Torden & Lynild facilitated the whole process from beginning to end including the development of core stories, developing the visual style, editing the text narratives, manging the final setup of the prospectus, as well as executing the production of visuals in a collage-inspired style that set the mood of the future exhibitions spaces.

This prospectus was developed after having been ordered from Aabenraa municipality and Museum Sønderjylland, who are working on realizing the plan of a large and modern museum on the harbor of Aabenraa. The goal of the prospectus is to communicate the vision of the new museum and to support the fundraising process. Torden & Lynild was the project manager of the process of developing the vision in close collaboration with the municipality and the museum.

The museum is being built on “Kilen” at the end of Nyhavn in Aabenraa.
