The play was based on Thomas Vinterberg’s film The Celebration. 120 audience members were drawn all the way into the universe of the performance and became guests at Helge's 70th birthday. They were guided around through various 360-degree scenographies and were served a 7-course gourmet dinner with wine along the way. Included in the scenography was the mother’s winter salon, the father’s wine cellar and the dead sister’s room. The performance received a Reumert Prize for Best Performance in 2018.

"An artistic process is always demanding, and in theatre, where many pieces must be melded together for a new and revolutionary work to appear, enormous commitment, attention, cooperation, visions, the transformation of the abstract to reality, logistics, finances and many other things are needed. Behind the scenes

Sketch of the mother’s room, including a large amount of valuable porcelain loaned to the performance by Royal Copenhagen. The photo for the panorama with the 16-metre wide ocean view was taken on the coast north of Copenhagen.

Along the way in the construction process, when the various walls were built using batten skeletons. Later, each room received scenography with floors, wall decorations, furniture and props.

The performance received the Reumert Prize of the Year 2018 at the annual Reumert celebration at The Royal Danish Playhouse. About 100 people took part in creating the performance, so a smaller team received the prize on behalf of the entire team
